Beginning February 7, 2022, to be eligible to take required skills or knowledge tests, commercial driver’s license (CDL) applicants must have completed applicable entry-level driver training from a registered training provider. SMTCCAC, Inc is a registered training provider as required by the new Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulation. SMTCCAC, Inc’s CDL Training program is comprised of two separate courses: an online theory course and a behind-the-wheel driving course. The total program is approximately 76 hours and meets the FMCSA standards and regulations for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT). The CDL Training Program prepares students to pass the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicle (MVA) examinations, first for a learners permit and then for their license - Class B CDL with passenger, airbrake, and school bus endorsement.
